Harry Potter fans are rejoicing online, after JK Rowling totally shut down Piers Morgan with a moment of Twitter magic.
The author stopped Morgan in his tracks with an inspired post, and the best part was he didn’t even realise he was being trolled.
In case you missed it, the pair have been feuding online for some time, ever since JK Rowling shared a video of Australian comedian Jim Jefferies telling him to “fuck off” on live TV.
You can see the moment below – it’s well worth a watch:
Rowling replied to the video a few days back, saying: “Yes, watching Piers Morgan being told to fuck off on live TV is *exactly* as satisfying as I’d always imagined.”

Morgan hit back, and the spat has been rumbling on for a few days. However, things came to a head on Wednedsay, when JK posted a screenshot of an article praising her for being ‘inspiring’ and being one of the most important celebrities in the world.
The Harry Potter author added: “Just been sent this! Could the writer let me know who he is? I’d love to thank him!”

After seeing the post, Morgan hit out by saying: “Priceless #humblebrag BS. Nobody plays the celebrity game more abusively or ruthlessly than you, Ms ‘Intensely Private Billionaire’.”

Amazingly though, what Morgan seemed to have missed was the fact that he’d written those words himself back in 2010.
There’s no shame in being outsmarted by one of the best authors in the country, but this doesn’t reflect well on Morgan at all.
He might try his best to keep the feud going, but this Twitter spat is officially over.
