Pamela Anderson has sparked rumours she’s joining the new Baywatch film, which is due for release next year.
Anderson won’t have been seen in Baywatch for 20 years when the remake hits cinemas, having ended her role as CJ in 1997. But Pammie fans can rejoice, as she looks set to feature on the Los Angeles County beaches once more.
Anderson sparked the rumours after telling ET Canada: “I haven’t turned it down completely yet. But I have turned down what they offered me. We’ll see what happens.
“It’s an honour that they want me to be a part of it so bad”
“I haven’t even read the script. I have no idea what it’s about. Baywatch was such a huge part of my life. They’re trying to do an homage, and it’s an honour to have them to want me to be a part of it so bad.”
It was originally rumoured that Kelly Brook would be in the Baywatch remake, but she was quick to laugh those rumours off, before Kelly Rohrbach was announced to be filling Pammie’s swimsuit in January.
Rohrbach has since been seen recreating the beach run made famous by Anderson in a recent photoshoot for Harpers Bazaar.
Speaking about her preparation for the role, Rohrbach said: “We’ve been watching old episodes, but overall I’ve just been trying to spend more time by the beach, which is never a bad thing.”
Rohrbach is joined in the Baywatch remake by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Ilfanesh Hadera and Priyanka Chopra.
The film is directed by Seth Gordon, best known for helming Horrible Bosses.
Only time will tell if Baywatch fans can get excited about the addition of Pammie to that list. She was most recently in the news for being the last nude star for Playboy before the magazine covered up its models.
