The O’Donovan brothers are viral sensations in Ireland after giving an interview to their local TV station in a wonderfully positive and very ‘Irish’ manner.

On Thursday evening, the pair qualified for the finals of the men’s double sculls. Afterwards they gave media interviews, where their growing fanbase online was hoping for another cracking interview following the one witnessed earlier this week. They did not disappoint.

They edged out the Great Britain team and will go into the final today as one of the favourites for a medal, the first for Ireland at the games in Rio.

Rowing out County Cork in Ireland the brothers are already European Champions in rowing.  Their positive outlook has certainly helped them greatly – as well as their love for ‘schteaks!’

The O’Donovan brothers are not the only thing to set Olympic waters green after reports of build of algae meant Olympic pools turned green.
