Irish fans have been the talk of the European Championships in France this summer for all the right reasons.

The jovial bunch have serenaded nuns, created cheeky chants to goad the English fans and now the boys in green have been caught singing lullabies to babies on trains.

In Bordeaux, the location for Ireland’s Group E hammering at the hands of Belgium, a group of Ireland fans were very concerned about the welfare of a young baby who they noticed couldn’t get to sleep.

The loss earlier that day hadn’t dampened the mood of the good-natured fans who broke into a version of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ and when that didn’t work they went with ‘Hush, Little Baby’.

Ireland move onto Lille for their crunch clash against Italy on Wednesday where they need a win to stand a chance of qualifying for the last round of 16.

Martin O’Neill is set to name a number of changes or the clash with Southampton striker Shane Long and Norwich playmaker Wesley Hoolahan both poised for the chop.
