Have You Attempted The “Invisible Box” Viral Challenge Yet?

There’s a new viral challenge that has taken the internet by storm and is liable to leave you falling arse over tit.

It’s called the Invisible Box Challenge and as with previous viral sensations like cinnamon eating, mannequin standing, bottle flipping and ice-bucket pouring, it’s quickly become an obsession among online folk old and young

The concept could not be simpler: it’s basically about pretending to stand on an invisible box. That’s right: mime is back in fashion.

It’s all the work of Texan high school cheerleader Ariel Olivar, who went viral after posting a video of herself appearing to step over an invisible box.

Since then everyone has been trying it, with some pretty mixed results.

While there are plenty of people agile enough to pull off this optical illusion-based feat, there are even more who have managed to mess it up, with hilarious results.

That’s part of the reason why it has become such a hit – the failed attempts are just as spectacular as the successful ones and all making for amusing watching.

In any case, it’s likely to be the “in” thing to do for the foreseeable future.

Or at least until Gordon Ramsay tries it. The Kitchen Nightmares chef is the man widely held responsible for making “planking” uncool, after attempting the trick and sharing the results online.

Don’t even think about it this time, okay Gordon?
