After teasing a return with a quickfire clip earlier this year, ID sequel Shadwell Army has announced its big comeback with a brutal new trailer.

The footage confirms the return of Perry Fenwick, the EastEnders star who played Eddie in the 1995 original.

“Just when you get comfortable you’re in more danger than you know. Dig deep. Spit. Teeth. Spill. Blood. Give up everything for the cause,” says Fenwick’s reformed thug Eddie.

“Dig deep. Spit. Teeth. Spill. Blood. Give up everything for the cause.”

A walk in the park this movie isn’t – expect things to get violent very, very fast.

ID2: Shadwell Army, starring Simon Rivers, Paul Popplewell, Linus Roache and Neil Pearson, will follow an undercover policeman sent undercover to infiltrate Shadwell Town’s violent gang.

There, he discovers that they’re being manipulated by a far-right group trying to use them to stir up racial tension and violence.

ID2’s subject matter is highly-topical right now following fan violence at Euro 2016. Hooliganism is the ugly side of the game that refuses to go away.

ID attained a cult following in the 90s thanks to its brutal depiction of East End football violence. Warren Clarke, Philip Glenister and Sean Pertwee all featured in the impressive cast for the film.

ID2: Shadwell Army is in cinemas and on digital from August 12, 2016 and DVD/Blu-ray from October 3, 2016.
