Hugh Jackman. Actor. Hero. Wolverine. All-around great guy and one of our favourite people in the world. And as such, we want to keep him in a bubble in which he can make X-Men movies till the end of time.
And in a way that only Hugh Jackman can, he has published a photo in which he reveals that he has undergone a new cancer treatment, the sixth one. And like the hero that he is, he is fighting this bitch while at the same time he wants us to be careful to avoid going through the same.
Jackman first revealed that he had basal-cell carcinoma removed from his nose in 2013. Ever since, the actor has undergone five more interventions.
But don’t worry, because this type of carcinoma is not that rare and it’s usually never fatal. So we still have many years ahead of us to enjoy Jackman in movies.
And if that weren’t enough, Jackman used his post on Instagram to remind his followers the need to use sunscreen. So thoughtful of him.
Jackman has always been very open about his problem and the dangers of skin cancer. He even showed up at the X-Men: Days of Future Past premieres with a bandage on his nose after one of the interventions.
We just hope Jackman can finally beat this once and for all. After all, the man has Wolverine strength -anyone who tries to deny that Jackman and Logan are the same person will not be heard.
48-year-old Jackman (can you believe that?) will be back as our favourite mutant in Logan, out on March 1st.
