The football season is kicking off and with it the start of what could be one of the most exciting Premier League campaigns in recent times. New managerial additions like Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola and, of course, Jose Mourinho are also sure to bring box-office level entertainment both before and after matches.

Oh, and the games won’t be that bad either.

One of the subplots that fans looking forward to the start of the season are focused on is  how Manchester City will line-up. New boss Guardiola is known for his style of tiki-taka and possession based football but also a pressing style that many of the players in blue might not be used to.

City have also bought in a couple of players already, including the likes of John Stones from Everton and Leroy Sane from Schalke 04 who will help City evolve into a team that could replicate the form of Barcelona and Bayern Munich as they go in search of another Premier League title.

Speaking on Sky Sports last season, a former player under Pep at Barcelona, Thierry Henry detailed what the tactics are like under Pep and also what training is usually like.

The intensity in his training sessions is world renowned with a video, leaked before of a session with Bayern, showing a phenomenal attention to detail even when walking through the session.

Will it be enough to see off the title challenges of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and perhaps, maybe, even Arsenal? We’ll have to wait and see.
