Han Solo Director Gives Us First Look At Origins Film

So, who shot first?

The upcoming Han Solo film is not coming to our screens until 2018, and there’s still a long wait until December to enjoy The Last Jedi, but all hope is not lost.

Chris Miller, who is currently directing the Han Solo anthology film with his working partner Phil Lord (they directed The Lego Movie and the 21 Jump Street films together ) took to Twitter to mark the beginning of the shooting with a photo that revives the Han Shot First controversy:

As the photo shows, the film’s working title is Red Cup, a play on Han’s surname and the song Red Solo Cup -which is the name given to the popular Solo Cup Company’s red cups, which we have seen a million times in movies where there is a party and everyone is drinking beer.

Unfortunately, actors Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover were nowhere to be seen, but we certainly hope Miller will soon share a photo of Ehrenreich sporting Harrison Ford’s famous vest. The young actor already has Ford’s cheeky smirk and dewy-eyed look, so now all that remains is for him to prove that he can make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs.

The as of yet untitled Han Solo project is set to be released worldwide in May 2018. Star Wars’ Episode VIII The Last Jedi will premiere on December 15, 2017, with the cast from The Force Awakens returning for this new instalment. Except for Harrison, that is. Although you never know, he might come back in ghost form. Spoiler alert. Sorry.
