The countdown is on till the start of the season and with that many football fans are left scrawling through silly season – see Robin van Persie to Rangers, and any semblance of super strikes since the Euros finished last month.
The pre-season has normally been a place where corkers and crackers have been at a premium but fans need not fret because step up the MLS. And in particular step up Sebastian Giovinco of Toronto FC.
The Italian striker scored a blinder at the weekend but he must give a word of thanks to his team mate, Tsubasa Endoh.
Some will claim that it was in fact it was Endoh’s goal and that Giovinco handed him the strike – via a massive deflection off his arse..
We prefer the romance of the wonder strike. It was Giovinco’s goal.
The game it self, which was Toronto FC vs Columbus Crew finished 3-1 to Toronto.
That goal though!
