Gary Neville’s hatred of Manchester City is no big secret.

A product of Manchester United’s youth academy, Neville not only spent the entirety of his playing career at Old Trafford but also supports the Red Devils with a passion.

So when cross-town rivals Manchester City went down 4-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League, you can imagine Neville was revelling in the Citizens’ misery.

Having gone out for dinner on the night of the game, Neville caught up on events at Camp Nou when he got home.

However, the Sky Sports Monday Night Football favourite may have ended up enjoying the occasion a bit too much.

Taking to Twitter in the wake of the result, Neville revealed he had watched the game not once, not twice, but three times in the space of a single evening.

That’s 279 minutes spent “enjoying” the same game over and over – he could have watched The Godfather Part II and an episode of Game of Thrones in the same time.

Heck, he could have cooked an entire Christmas dinner in that time or maybe even taken a train from London to Paris.

Neville may have made a monumental error in his admission though.

After all, how exactly did the Sky Sports stalwart watch the game? On BT Sport? Or on one of the many illegal streams that have been denting Sky’s viewing figures? Someone’s in for a stern telling off when they get into work.
