Channel 5 has played an absolute blinder with line-up for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, which includes a Game of Thrones favourite and a lady familiar to millions of loaded readers.
Bianca Gascoigne may be better known as the celebrity stepdaughter of England football legend Paul Gascoigne but for many it’s her exploits on Instagram and via plenty of striking photo shoots down the years that have most impressed.
A model and reality TV star by day, with appearances on Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Come Dine With Me to her name, Bianca was also previously involved in a relationship with house cad turn mummy’s boy Calum Best.
Best has returned for a second stint on Celebrity Big Brother as part of this year’s all-star theme, alongside fellow ex-contestants like James Jordan, Coleen Nolan and the entity known only as Speidi (don’t ask).
But he may not get a chance to have his wicked way with Bianca, not least because of the presence of Kim Kardashian’s sex tape ex Ray J but also because his mum, Angie Best, has also entered the house.
Away from the usual array of Z-listers however, it’s the presence of actor James Cosmo that has many people talking.
The veteran Scottish actor will be familiar to millions having enjoyed a lengthy career on the stage and screen with roles in classic movies like Highlander, Braveheart and Trainspotting to his name.
In fact, he’s due to appear in the upcoming sequel to the latter T2: Trainspotting, as Mark Renton’s (Ewan McGregor) long suffering dad.
Most will probably known him for his role in the HBO hit Game of Thrones though where as Jeor Mormont, he served nobly as the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch until, like most characters in the show, he met a grizzly end.
With other notable names Jasmine Waltz, Austin Armacost, Stacy Francis, Nicola McLean, Jamie O’Hara and, most bizarrely of all, DJ legend Brandon Block, it’s shaping up to be quite the televisual experience.
