Comic book movie fans have been given another glimpse of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman with the actress behind Diana Prince looking more than a match for the likes of Batman and Superman.
Gadot’s Wonder Woman was one of the few highlights from Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, so anticipation is high ahead of her solo movie debut.
Judging from the two latest TV spots showcasing just a few of the things fans can expect from the new film, Gadot’s movie will be an all-action affair with Wonder Woman seemingly spending most of her time kicking ass and generally raising hell.
It represents a stark contrast to Batman vs. Superman, which all too often got bogged down in long, arduous, exposition-heavy scenes or, worse still, inexplicable dream sequences so vague even fan boys struggled to unpick their meaning.
Wonder Woman looks like a return to the kind of action comic book fans know and love and could be the movie to cement Gadot’s star status in Hollywood.
These latest TV spots also offer a first glimpse of the film’s primary villain, Ares, played by Davd Thewlis
The Greek God of war is set to cause all kinds of chaos in a film telling the story of Gadot’s Amazon princess who, after rescuing Chris Pine’s American fight pilot Steve Trevor, sets off on a mission to end World War I early.
Wonder Woman arrives in cinemas on 2 June 2017.
