Every few years, a film comes along which takes movie audiences completely by surprise, and not in a good way.
The likes of Irreversible and A Serbian Film have gained reputations for being some of the most offensive movies ever made, and now another film has emerged which might be the most shocking of the lot.
French cannibal movie Raw is fast gaining a reputation for being one of the most graphic and gory movies of recent times, and we can’t imagine many movie goers will be snacking on popcorn when going to see it…
While the film has yet to be released in the UK, the trailer looks incredibly intense. (Warning: This is definitely NOT for the faint hearted…)
There were reports of viewers throwing up after seeing it on the festival circuit last year, and now a movie theatre in LA has made the step of handing out sick bags to those watching the film.
As the Hollywood Reporter reveals, the theatre – called the Nuart – introduced the ‘barf bags’ after several people fainted and vomited during screenings of the controversial film.
Mark Valen from the cinema said: “One of the staff at the Nuart took up the initiative to make the barf bags out of paper lunch bags.
“What a fun idea! I remember that used to be done with some horror releases in the 1970s.”
UK horror fans should start plucking up the courage to see the film now, as it premieres over here on April 7.
