Eva Green might be Loaded’s favourite Bond Girl, but when it comes to filming her memorable big screen moments she’s prone to coming over a little shy.
Speaking to W, Green admitted that she still isn’t comfortable stripping off for the cameras.
“I am so shy, and at the same time, I kind of expose myself literally to thousands of people – this is my body! I still don’t really understand why I do that,” the Casino Royale actress said.
Of her iconic 007 role opposite Daniel Craig, Green revealed that she initially turned down the part because she though Vesper Lynd was going to be a stereotypical Bond Girl.
“I kind of expose myself literally to thousands of people – this is my body!”
“When they approached me I thought it would be me wearing a bikini and being beautiful, so I said I wouldn’t audition,” she commented.
“Then they sent me the script, and I saw that Bond was falling in love with my character—that she was sensitive and full of secrets. I could understand that.”
Green also mused on her kicking the bucket repeatedly in her film roles.
“I die a lot in movies – I don’t know why. It’s a big rehearsal,” she said.
Her favourite actor? Jack Nicholson.
“It was because of him I wanted to become an actress,” Green said, adding that The Shining is the definitive Nicholson movie.
A woman of incredibly good taste.
