Emilia Clarke is heading to the Star Wars universe.
The Game of Thrones actress has signed up for the cast of the Han Solo spin-off film, joining Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover – young Han and Lando Calrissian, respectively – in the eagerly-awaited movie.
According to the official Star Wars website, Clarke’s role will “round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures”.
But who exactly is Clarke playing? All fan speculation is pointing towards the future wife of Han Solo.
@emiliaclarke has been cast in #Hansolo spinoff film. Take my money Star Wars! On another note, here's hoping it's Han's Wife! 😀 #StarWars

Earlier news pegged Tessa Thompson, Naomi Scott, and Zoe Kravitz as auditioning for the lead female role Clarke has presumably landed.
Star Wars geeks quickly speculating that they’d be playing Sana Starros, a character appearing in the official comic book line as Solo’s pre-Leia love.
Emilia Clarke is cool but I want Han Solo with a black wife

Director Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and Lucasfilm may have switched the role up with the casting of Clarke instead. Or maybe she’s playing another character entirely?
All will be answered when the Han Solo movie – currently carrying the unwieldy name ‘Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film’ – is released in cinemas in 2018.
