This Easter why not try something a bit different, like an entire egg made from solid cheese?
Meet the Cheester Egg, moulded with award winning Napier cheese – which was recently given the title London’s favourite cheese in 2015 at the Urban Food Awards.
This cheesy egg is the brainchild of food blogger Annem Hobson who also runs the blog So Wrong its Nom, and it looks absolutely incredible.
To create the egg, Hobson collaborated with independent artisan cheese company Wildes Cheese to sculpt a solid egg made from everyone’s favourite dairy product.
Annem claims the inspiration behind the egg was due to her frustration with chocolate taking over the treats market for every holiday.
‘‘Chocolate is okay, but it’s a little boring, and frankly I’m sick of seeing it dominating key retail periods,’ she said.
Later this year, the food blogger is also coming out with a Cheese Advent Calendar after her massive #CheeseNotChoc campaign went viral, attracting the likes of Spice Girl Emma Bunton and New Girl Zooey Deschanel to name a few. We’ve haven’t been this excited for Christmas since we were ten!
The Cheester Egg is available to buy on her website for the bargain price of £14.95, and for that you get 260g of solid cheese in a nifty little nest.
If you’re feeling even more festive, Hobson is also offering a limited number of ‘Nest Hampers’ for £29.95 full of goodies.
Best. Easter. Ever.
