Maybe it’s time for Donald Trump to just call it quits and throw in the towel?
The latest comment to come back to haunt him originates from a 2009 Trump University blog entry, in which he said he “worked like hell” to try and seduce John Travolta’s wife Kelly Preston.
The worst thing about this wasn’t the fact that Trump turned on the sleaze with a married woman (he claims he wasn’t aware Preston and Travolta were wed), but the fact it was part of a ‘tribute’ he penned four days after the Hollywood couple’s son Jett died in 2009 following a seizure.
As reported by Mother Jones, Trump wrapped his failed seduction inside a post expressing his condolences.
“A long time ago, before I was married, I met Kelly Preston at a club and worked like hell to try and pick her up,” he wrote. “She was beautiful, personable, and definitely had allure. At the time I had no idea she was married to John Travolta.
“In any event, my track record on this subject has always been outstanding, but Kelly wouldn’t give me the time of day. She was very nice, very elegant, but I didn’t have a chance with her, and that was that.”
The Republican candidate was condemned earlier this month after an Access Hollywood tape from 2005 leaked featuring audio of him bragging about sexually assaulting women.
More recently porn star Jessica Drake claimed that Trump offered her $10,000 a decade ago to have sex with him.
Trump’s classless response to the allegations? “Oh, I’m sure she’s never been grabbed before.”
