David Beckham’s New Look Is Grotesque, But It’s For A Good Reason

The footballer is totally unrecognisable in his King Arthur role.

He’s been named ‘sexiest man alive’ on more occasions than we care to mention, but David Beckham’s new look is… well, totally gruesome.

The former footballer revealed a new image on Instagram last night, and he’s seen with some huge scars along the side of his head, as well as a very dodgy set of teeth.

Of course, there’s a very good reason he looks so bad… Becks is set to make his film debut in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming movie King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and it looks like he’s been spending some serious time with the makeup and prosthetics team.

See the gruesome post below:

“Rough day at the office @kingarthurmovie @guyritchie,” he wrote.

Becks is set to play a ‘disgruntled knight’ in the upcoming movie, and he’s listed as “Blackleg leader” on his IMDB page.

He’ll be in good company too: Charlie Hunnam. Jude Law, Aiden Gillan, Eric Bana, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, and Djimon Hounsou will all appear in the film.

Speaking about his role, Beckham previously told The Times: “I had 13 lines and practised a huge amount beforehand. Guy had someone come and rehearse with me, and I did that an hour every day in the build-up.”

Becks might be new to the acting game, but he knows that it’ll be a challenge to make the transition from footballer to actor.

“I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.”

King Arthur is set for release on May 12.
