Daniel Craig is keen on reprising the role of James Bond in what would be 007’s 25th outing – and he may not be done there.
Reports suggest Craig, who was previously critical of the idea of returning to the role of Bond, has “changed his mind” with long-time 007 producer Barbara Broccoli having seemingly “secured” the actor according to various sources.
It’s widely believed that Craig was previously offered around £120 million to return for two more films and, with all the signs indicating a major U-turn on the part of the British actor, it’s entirely conceivable that Craig could now return for more that one Bond outing.
The Mirror, meanwhile, are reporting that another big name could be returning to the franchise – Adele. Broccoli is though to be keen on bringing the singer back for the next film’s theme tune, following the success and popularity of her previous effort on Skyfall.
The song was notable for being the first 007 theme son to collect both a Golden Globe and Grammy award.
“Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners. It’s taken time but Daniel has come round and the strong consensus in the Bond offices is that Mr Craig is 007 again,” a source told the newspaper.
“As for Adele, she’s more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive.”
