The world of MMA saw an upset at UFC 196 when Nate Diaz beat Conor McGregor – no small feat considering Diaz was drafted in with just 11 days notice as a replacement for Rafael Dos Anjos.

The pair will go head-to-head for a hotly-anticipated rematch on at UFC 202 on August, and McGregor is already firing insults in his opponent’s direction.

“I just hope he’s not up on that stage wearing that stupid black t-shirt…”

The Notorious gatecrashed Diaz’s Conan appearance to deliver a revenge message based around his rival’s dress sense.

“Nate, I just hope he’s not up on that stage wearing that stupid black t-shirt he’s never out of. “They boy’s been wearing that same damn t-shirt for the past 20 years or something,” McGregor said. Diaz, for what it’s worth, was in that shirt.

McGregor added: “I’m taking this contest very, very seriously – I’ve flown in specific body types to replicate Nate’s skinny, tall frame. The boy won the lotto last him; he knows it, I know it – August 20 I get my revenge and I look forward to it.”

Diaz was swift with a return shot, telling host Conan O’Brien: “The truth came out – and it’s coming again. The truth will be on August 20 when it goes down again.”

All will be settled when UFC 202 takes place in Las Vegas next month.
