Clint Eastwood is a screen icon and Academy Award winning director – he also happens to be a staunch Republican who once interviewed an empty chair representing President Obama.

He’s finally had his say on the 2016 presidential race, going full Dirty Harry to come out all guns blazing in support of Donald Trump.

In a new interview with Esquire, the Hollywood star and his son Scott Eastwood (who’s appearing in Suicide Squad) sat down to discuss their careers and the current state of American politics.

“We’re really in a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells.”

“I’d have to go for Trump,” Clint said. The reason? Trump is a man who speaks his mind and doesn’t care about political correctness.

“Secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now,” he said. “We’re really in a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells.

“We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist.”

However, Eastwood admitted that Trump has said “dumb” things, pointing out the Republican’s criticism of a judge’s Mexican heritage in a lawsuit against the now-closed Trump University.

“I mean, to predicate your opinion on the fact that the guy was born to Mexican parents or something. He’s said a lot of dumb things,” he explained.

“So have all of them. Both sides. But everybody—the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist,’ and they’re making a big hoodoo out of it.”
