Fast food eating challenges are ten-a-penny on the internet these days but the Burger King Whopper Challenge might be the most extreme yet.
The concept is simple enough: you have just 10 minutes to eat as many of the fast food chain’s signature burgers without being sick. Any form of vomiting will result in immediate disqualification.
Drinks are optional, though recommended given the sheer amount of bread and meat passing down your gullet. Above all else, know this: you won’t be able to eat as many as you think. Not by a long shot.
First attempted by YouTuber and semi-professional fast food consumer Wickedshrapnel, it’s a challenge that might sound easy on paper but is far trickier in practice. Wickedshrapnel only managed to eat four Whoppers in the allotted time, though he did come close to a fifth.
Most ordinary folk are unlikely to get past two or even three at best. But they will try and they will most likely either fail or end up puking their guts up. It’s just that kind of challenge.
The standard Whopper sandwich, consisting of a beef patty, sesame seed bun, two tomato slices, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, onions and four pickle slices comes in at around 670 calories per burger.
Those feeling supremely confident may want to up the ante by making them Whoppers with cheese, at which point the calories rise to 760 per burger. Anyone capable of eating five or more is invited to contact loaded directly with video/photographic proof. A prize will be waiting for them, but only if they can prove it beyond doubt.
The Burger King Whopper Challenge comes hot on the heels of the recent Big Mac Challenge, which invites fans to try and consume five Big Macs, five large fries and five large milkshakes in just 25 minutes.
