“If Britney Spears can get through 2007, then I can make it through today,” has become one of the most popular memes on the internet, and it’s easy to see why.
Britney was having an incredibly tough time of it ten years ago, and experienced a very public meltdown over the course of a rough few months.
The most famous incident came when she shaved off all her hair, and that’s the focus of the new trailer for her upcoming Lifetime biopic Britney Ever After.

Britney – played by Australian actress Natasha Bassett – also attacks paparazzi with an umbrella and gets married to Kevin Federline in the trailer.
The Lifetime movie focuses on the ups and down in the Toxic singer’s career, from her initial rise to fame, to her troubled year in 2007 and her subsequent return to the top.
“Everything’s just kinda this blur, you know? Until you hit rock bottom. I wanna be strong, for my fans. That’s what keeps me going,” the voice over in the clip says.
Britney previously made it clear she’s no fan of the new film, and her representatives previously told EW that she won’t contribute to the film “in any way, shape or form… nor does it have her blessing”.
With or without her blessing though, Britney Ever After airs on Lifetime on February 18.
