The great sport on show at the Rio Paralympics continued yesterday, after blind footballer Behzad Zadaliasghari scored a stunning solo goal in the 5-a-side tournament.

Zadaliasghari showed great skill in the game between Iran and Morocco on Monday (September 12), and got himself on the scoresheet in spectacular style.

Zadaliasghari collected the ball on the left wing, before cutting inside and weaving his way past four defenders.

Bearing down on goal, he smashed it goalwards, and while the keeper got a hand to it, he couldn’t keep it out.

The goal helped Iran on the way to a 2-0 win in the game.

It’s an impressive strike, especially considering that the players only have a bell in the ball and their coaches to guide them.

There’s a touch of Ricky Villa about the goal too…
