A crew member has tragically died on the set of upcoming sci-fi sequel Blade Runner 2.
Mashable reports that the unidentified Hungarian construction worker was dismantling sets at Budapest’s Origo Studios on Thursday when scaffolding suddenly collapsed on him.
The individual was working under a platform at the time, and it’s not yet know what caused the accident.
Production on Blade Runner 2 in Origo had finished at the time, so now members of the cast and crew were present when the accident occurred.
A spokesman for Blade Runner production company Alcon Entertainment told Deadline that the worker wasn’t a member of the film’s crew, but instead subcontractor employed to help take down the sets.
The Blade Runner sequel is currently in production with an intended release date of October 2017.
Harrison Ford will return to the role of Rick Deckard, while Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto and Robin Wright are also in the cast of the movie.
Prisoners and Sicario director Denis Villeneuve is taking over from Ridley Scott, who will serve as a producer on the big budget sci-fi film.
