Black Mirror just got a huge A-list boost, after a major Hollywood player signed on to direct an upcoming episode.
Fans will be very happy to hear that Jodie Foster will helm an instalment of the Netflix show in 2017.
Charlie Brooker’s dystopian sci-fi drama season hasn’t even arrived yet, but makers of the show are already preparing for season four, with the Foster now on-board.
Forster might be best remembered for her star turns in Silence of the Lambs and Panic Room, but she’s is also a highly-respected filmmaker.
Foster recently directed George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Jack O’Connell in Money Monster, as well as the less-successful Mel Gibson movie The Beaver in 2011.
She’s no stranger to TV work either, having directed an episode of Netflix drama House of Cards in 2014.
That’s not the only casting news from Black Mirror, after Mad Men star Rosemarie DeWitt was cast in the upcoming fourth season.
Bryce Dallas Howard stars in the third season of the drama, following in the footsteps of Jon Hamm, who appeared in season two.
