Bill Nye the Science Guy with the awesome bow-tie, is coming back to our screens this year. You might remember him as the prime source for basic science during the 90’s. His show aired on PBS from 1993 – 1998. Now he’s active on social media, spouting his vast wisdom whenever he can. His Twitter is gold.
He’s launching a new show on Netflix that is based on debunking mad science. Bill Nye Saves The World is about “refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry
We’re already sold. Considering the anti-science environment, Trump has created with his refusal to acknowledge climate change; we are more than due to a sage perspective like Bill’s.
“With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.” Said Nye in a statement.
He will have a range of guests and correspondents, including the stunning Karlie Kloss who has her own grasp of science, namely the computer kind. She runs a coding summer camp called ‘Kode with Klossy’ where she teaches girls how to write code.
Nye plans to follow his usual formula of conducting experiments as well as discussing topics like climate change, vaccinations, genetically modified foods and more. The sky’s the limit with this science guy, and we’re keen to see what he comes up with.
Bill Nye Saves The World launches in spring 2017. Look out for it.
