You might not have noticed, but there’s a new Baywatch movie coming out very soon, and it looks set to be ‘even sexier’ than the original TV series.

There’s plenty of excitement about the movie at the movie at the moment, and it got loaded thinking – what are some of the show’s original stars up to these days?

Well, Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff are both set to make cameos in the new movie, but there’s one name missing: Carmen Electra.

As fans of the show will remember, Carmen starred in 22 episodes of the Baywatch TV series between 1997 and 1998, and made quite an impression in the role of Lani McKenzie.

While Carmen was one of the most popular Playboy cover stars of her generation already, Baywatch helped take her career to the next level.

She had became one of the most sought after glamour models in the world by 2000, and in that year starred in her first major film – Scary Movie.

After, came roles in Starsky & Hutch, Meet The Spartans and I Want Candy, and at her mid 00s pomp she was always named as one of the ‘sexiest women in the world’ in reader polls.

As well as a highly successful modelling and acting career, Carmen has had some pretty highly publicised relationships over the years too.

She was married to Dave Navarro in 2003, before divorcing in 2007, and she was also briefly married to Dennis Rodman back in 1998.

Bizarrely, Carmen also allegedly dated X Factor music mogul Simon Cowell back in 2012, which has to be one of the weirdest celebrity couples we’ve ever seen. She’s also reportedly been hanging around with Pamela Anderson’s ex Tommy Lee recently too.

Anyway, now aged 45, Carmen looks as incredible as ever, but her movie career has been relatively quiet over the last few years.

Her most recent screen appearance came in a 2016 episode of Jane The Virgin, and loaded thinks it’s high time she landed some more high-profile roles.

If Baywatch is a success, which it inevitably will be, they’ll make a sequel. Carmen is due a big screen return, and we think Dwayne Johnson would be missing a real trick if he didn’t get her involved next time round.
