Azealia Banks has found herself at the centre of controversy once again, after she accused Russell Crowe of assaulting her during a party.
The rapper has claimed that the Gladiator star “choked” her and “spat” at her during an altercation on Saturday night (October 15) at Crowe’s room at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Banks posted a message on Facebook, saying: “To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me.”
She added: “The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”
However, Banks quickly deleted the post, after TMZ reported that eyewitnesses claimed the rapper became aggressive, and had to be forcibly removed from the party.
Around ten people were alledgedly invited to Crowe’s hotel room to listen to music, and Banks was brought along by Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA.
Banks is thought to have taken issue with the actor’s choice of soundtrack, calling him and other guests ‘boring white men’.
Crowe reportedly grabbed and removed Banks after she threatened to attack guests with a glass, and she was then escorted away from the hotel by security staff.
It’s the latest controversial moment in Bank’s career, which has seen her row with everyone from Rita Ora to Nicki Minaj and Eminem – she’s also endorsed Donald Trump for president.
Social media also recently calling for her to be kicked off Twitter after she launched into an appalling racist rant against Zayn Malik.
