Patrick Vieira has emerged as a shock contender to replace Arsene Wenger as manager of Arsenal, though he could face stiff competition from a World Cup winning coach.
Thomas Tuchel has been emerged as the bookies’ favourite to replace the Frenchman, who is stepping down after 22 years in charge of the club.
The German is priced at 3/1 with Ladbrokes, however that price seemingly ignores the fact Arsenal only recently appointed Sven Mislintat as their head of recruitment.
Mislintat had a major falling out with Tuchel during their time together at Borussia Dortmund, making a reunion highly unlikely.
Vieira could therefore be the next viable candidate, at 6/1 in the betting, having been consistently linked with the role ever since he was appointed manager of New York City in the MLS.
A lack of experience could put paid to those prospects though, leaving the way clear for Joachim Low to take up the role.
The World Cup winning Germany coach has been in charge of Die Mannschaft for over a decade and could see the role as a chance to take on a fresh challenge.
Conversely, the presence of the German Mislintat at the club could be enough to convince Low to take up the job, where he would be ably supported by his countryman and players like Mesut Ozil.
Max Allegri is also a serious contender at 9/1 and could be tempted to leave Juventus.
The Bianconeri are on course for a Scudetto and Coppa Italia double and a record fifth straight Serie A title.
Having tried and failed to claim Champions League glory on top of that, Allegri could be tempted to explore other avenues.
