Arsenal have reportedly offered Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil staggering amounts of money to stay at the club as part of new contract offers.

As The Mirror reports, Arsenal will offer the pair a combined salary of £30m per season in order to keep them at the club.

The club are looking to tie down their two standout performers for the next few seasons following their impressive victory in the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday.

Sanchez – who has less than a year remaining on his current contract with the club – will allegedly be offered a new two-year contract extension worth more than £275,000-a-week, which would keep him at the North London club until 2020.

The club is also thought to have offered Ozil a new deal worth £280,000-a-week to stay.

However, the German international is thought to be holding out for a further £70,000, with his agent thought to be holding out for an offer worth a whopping £350,000-a-week.

The deals would make the pair the highest paid players in the Premier League, with Wayne Rooney currently earning a reported £260,000 a week at Manchester United.

Wenger has repeatedly said over recent days that the group of players currently at the Emirates will win the Premier League if they stay together.

“If you keep them together they will be a force next year,” he told talkSPORT after the last game of the season against Everton, and those sentiments were also echoed after the Saturday’s final.

Sanchez has been far and away Arsenal’s best player this term with 24 goals and 10 assists in the league, and despite criticism from some fans regarding what they perceive to be a poor work rate, Ozil also remains a key player for the side.

Keeping both players at the club would be a huge statement of intent ahead of next season, and prove that the club are prepared to match the likes of Chelsea and the Manchester clubs financially to tie-down key plays.

However, Sanchez has been linked with a £50m move to Bayern Munich over recent weeks, and the pairs’ futures at the Emirates are far from certain.
