Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be a very busy man for the foreseeable future after confirming work on three different sequels is about to begin.

Speaking to, the Austrian Oak confirmed that filming was set to start on Terminator 6 later this year and that he would be returning in his familiar guise.

“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that,” said.

“I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator

From there, Schwarzenegger looks set to make a cameo appearance in Kung Fury: The Movie, starring Michael Fassbender and also featuring David Hasselhoff.

According to TheArnoldFans, the Terminator actor is set to take on the role of President of the United States in the big budget follow-up to the cult hit.

But that’s not the juiciest bit of news concerning Arnie’s plans for the next few years. According to the man himself, a further two sequels are in the works – and they have been a long time coming.

“Then we are finishing off the script now on Triplets, which is sequel to Twins,” Schwarzenegger said.

“Then they are also writing King Conan. Then we just made a deal to do a series of westerns on television, so we are looking forward to that.”

Conan The Barbarian the movie

With plans for another big screen Conan outing on the backburner after Amazon opted to move forward with plans for a series around the character, Schwarzenegger’s comments indicate that he could yet return in some capacity to the role that helped make him famous.

Schwarzenegger has already signed on to appear in the Amazon western series Outrider and that pre-existing relationship may pave the way for a return for the Conan series.

Triplets, meanwhile, could see Schwarzenegger reunite with Twins co-star Danny DeVito for a film where the pair discover they actually have another brother – potentially played by Eddie Murphy.

The film has been in the offing for decades, but now looks set to finally make it to the big screen, with DeVito enjoying his own renaissance of sorts thanks to It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
