Earlier this year football fans everywhere were left in mourning as Gary Neville left Sky Sports to take up a job as Valencia manager, how selfish of him!

Well, now it could be further bad news for Jamie Carragher and co as popular Sky Sports host Ed Chamberlin could be on his way to ITV as the face of their horse racing action.

Racing Post is reporting that the Sky Sports host presented his last match for the channel on Tuesday night as he fronted coverage of Manchester United and Bournemouth. It was recently announced that ITV was taking over the highlights of horse racing from Channel 4 who previously had it.

It will come as a blow to Sky Sports who were left hopeful of reuniting the threesome that put Monday Night Football on the map last year with their insightful analysis and top punditry with Chamberlin winning plaudits for his presenting style.

Chamberlin has been the lead football presenter for Sky Sports for the last 16 years.

Chamberlin also recently teamed up with Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp to pick out the Budweiser Dream Goal of the season.

The winner of Budweiser Dream Goal, a hunt for the UK’s best amateur goal of the season, was revealed as 33-year-old Warren Byrne from Durham.

Warren had the honour of having his screamer analysed on national television by the Sky Sports pundits Carragher, Redknapp and Chamberlin. He also takes home an impressive £50k grant from Budweiser Club Futures to support the non-league club of his choice.
