Aaron Ramsey will certainly have displeased his manager Arsene Wenger after admitting in an interview with Spanish newspaper, Marca, that he had ambitions to play in Spain one, as links with a move to Barcelona heat up.

The Arsenal midfielder was most recently linked with a switch to Spain in January, with the Catalans willing to pay £60 million for his services. Barcelona could take Ramsey’s comments as enough to go in with another bid following the European Championships but Spanish media have recently reported Hector Bellerin as Barcelona’s top target this summer.

The Arsenal right back, originally from Barcelona, has been linked with a move to replace the departing Dani Alves.

Ramsey and Bellerin leaving would be a massive blow to Arsenal’s title hopes but the style of football could prove too tempting as Ramsey admits, in quotes picked up the Standard

Ramsey explained: “Barcelona play football very well and at Arsenal we want to do the same, I’ve said it before: I would like to play in La Liga one day, at one of the big clubs. I watch the league every week. It suits my style. Maybe I will [move] someday, who knows what will happen in the future?”

Aaron Ramsey’s Arsenal future looked secure in recent days as the club made him their new number 8 after Mikel Arteta departed the club.
