DC Comics’ upcoming blockbuster Aquaman might have landed another huge name, after reports emerged that Nicole Kidman is in talks to star in the movie.
As The Hollywood Reporter reveals, Kidman is thought to be lining up a role of Aquaman’s mother in the blockbuster, which is set for release in 2018.
If she does join the James Wan-directed film, it’ll be the second time Kidman has taken on a role the DC cinematic universe.
She previously played Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever, and looked incredible throughout the whole film.
Game Of Thrones star Jason Momoa will play the titular role in the upcoming movie, which follows on from DC’s 2017 movie Justice League.
It’s great to see Kidman’s name linked with the film, but is the casting in the mother role slightly unfair? Momoa is 37, just 12 years younger than Kidman after all…
One thing’s for sure though – the actress would be sure to deliver a stunning performance.
Meanwhile, The Get Down star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is thought to be lining up the part of the villainous Black Manta.
It’s the second time a DC movie has made headlines this week, after it was revealed that Ben Affleck has stepped down as director on debut solo Dark Knight outing The Batman.
