The last time we the genius that is Louis Theroux in action, he was delving into the world of Scientology.
Now he’s returning to the BBC with not one but three documentaries dealing with the ugly side of America, including sex trafficking, opiate addiction, and murder. Louis doesn’t shy away from the scary stuff, does he?
To celebrate his return, loaded has compiled a group of crazy moments from Theroux’s storied career. After all, no-one makes bonkers TV quite like him.
This moment from LA Stories where Louis visited a training school for attack dogs and took a pooch for a test run..
Louis spent time with members of the vile Westboro Baptist Church in 2007 for his BBC documentary The Most Hated Family In America. One moment especially stood out – when the bespectacled filmmaker imparted some serious wisdom on their arses.
LOUIS THE GANGSTA
The man will try anything once, thats for sure. He took a whack at an art form that is famously difficult to get right – spitting sick rhymes.
WALDO ‘THE DYING COCKROACH’ THEROUX
Remember when Louis dipped into WCW and came face to face with Pez Whatley, then threw up?
LOUIS AND THE BROTHEL
In 2003 Louis visited the Wild Horse Adult Resort & Spa in Nevada and got a very special treat for being such a nice boy to the ladies of the house.
Why does Louis insist on doing docs called ‘America’s Most Dangerous Pets?’ Don’t keep wild animals and expect it to go smoothly, this is as eye-opening as it is hilarious.
Remember when Louis and Christine Hamilton got pissed and she tried to seduce him, while MP Neil Hamilton watched happily?
A very young Louis trying his best to get down on an early episode of Weird Weekends.
FINALLY, THE SCIENTOLOGISTS
As usual, Louis is the master of being calmly furious in this clip and this moment shows just how far you can push him.
We can’t wait to see what Louis gets up to next. Look out for the new series on BBC 2.
