So it’s official: Josh Brolin will play Cable the time-travelling son of X-Man Cyclops, in the upcoming Deadpool 2 and loaded is pissed.

Over the past few months loaded has speculated on any number of actors landing the part, from a Smurf-hating Avatar star to a former 007. Instead, fans got Brolin and, honestly, we just don’t know where to start.

Here are just a few reasons why this is the worst piece of comic book casting news since Jared Leto landed the Joker.

Let’s start with the obvious one shall we? Like the fact that Brolin is about to feature as the main villain, Thanos, in the upcoming two-part Avengers Infinity War films.

Now, no one is saying he can’t appear in two comic book films. Reynolds appeared in Blade, Green Lantern and R.I.P.D. as well as being Wade Wilson. But it still feels like a massive fuck you on the part of Fox towards Marvel.

Seriously, we’ve seen Brolin sitting on a throne as Thanos for like three films and finally when it comes time to get up and do something Deadpool comes along and steals their thunder? Nice one.
