“Tribe – the kids in school who didn’t fit in a particular category, but who just were. Not the ‘nerds’, or ‘hipsters’, or ‘jocks’, or sportsmen, or bullies. Just the kids who liked a bit of everything. Eventually they formed their own tribe. This EP is an indirect homage to the tribe” Shakka

Shakka‘s live performance is second to none. He has been asked to appear as guest vocalist on the Basement Jaxx tour & was the only artist to perform @ Melvin Odoom‘s (Kiss FM) birthday last summer & he even played at Labrinth’s Brit party in Feb. As a lyrical mastermind Shakka featured in a Tate Britain show alongside Speech Debelle in an event called ‘Who Am I’. Following this he is performing in ‘Home’ at The National Theatre in a “documentary theatre meets beatboxing, R&B and choreography to tell the stories of the Londoners who don’t get heard’. Look out for his short film on C4 as part of their Random Acts series later this year.
