Is it just us, or has the world gone sex crazy? Women on the commute reading erotic novels, the now-daily ritual of deleting your computer history… even the excruciatingly dull Kristen Stewart is engaging in a bit of extramarital activity.
With that in mind, us lot here at loaded believe that what the people want, the people should get. What with the Premier League kicking off a few days ago, we thought we’d indulge in a tale of sex, secrets and football, so if you can control your sick selves long enough to turn a few pages, you’re in for a proper treat. We all know super WAG Holly Henderson was involved in a fling with Mario Balotelli. But now, in a sensational interview, the model reveals how her split from the City player following a blistering row led her to fall into the arms of a rival Premiership footballer. MI6-style tactics to avoid the press, a private group for players to share women who are flavour of the month, and the backlash of being on a footballer’s arm are just some of her revelations.
Holly made the headlines in April after being linked to Balotelli following a night out at a private members’ club in Manchester. The two kissed and allegedly shared sexy messages before being pictured together outside a hotel. They ended up having a heated argument, but it was a relationship with one of football’s most recognisable stars that followed that taught the model the reality of being a secret WAG.
“I have had some romantic time with another footballer. I suppose he is more high-profile than Balotelli – he’s one of the top players in the world. I happened to like him but I never tried to be in a relationship with him because I never expected him to be monogamous. He was after my BBM [BlackBerry messenger pin] for a long time and I originally refused as he was married. He is a bit of a player but he was really nice to me. He would pester my mates for my pin after the Mario story came out – these footballer types always want to get one up on each other. I only gave it him out of courtesy.”
balotelli and me
After meeting at the Circle Club in Manchester, Holly and Balotelli flirted, snogged and began a brief period of teasing each other through text. Despite his cool persona on and off the pitch, it turns out Holly thought the footballer more of a pest than a charmer. She insists the two did not sleep together and he ended it after accusing her of telling the media about the two of them to boost her profile.
“I’d had a bit of a shit time before I met Mario, and we just got talking. I didn’t know who he was at first, but we got on quite well. I was being a bit of a knobhead and flirting, and we swapped pins.” The 33-year-old soon began to get annoyed by the constant stream of texts and calls from the 22-year-old Italian. “The next day he was straight on it and BBMing me asking for my number and from then on, it was calls and texts like, ‘Come and see me, come and see me’ and I thought, ‘I know where this was going’. He was getting really arsey and saying, ‘You’re always too busy for me, you’re always going to shoots’ and he said it was not good modelling and I was being a chauvinist. He was always texting and one day the kids saw and were like, ‘Mum, is that Balotelli?’ They thought it was brilliant as my youngest is a Man City fan and Mario is his favourite.
“One time, I was filming for Celeb Come Dine With Me and Mario asked where I was,” Holly reveals. We were talking about how he was messaging me and having a giggle on set – then we walked out of the changing room and he was just stood there in the doorway with some shades on and a big diamond earring. I was like, ‘Oh shit’. He watched us film and then signed a few autographs but someone must have alerted the press cos when we were having a cigarette outside, we were pictured and it went all out over the papers.
“The next day he rang me up and went mad, saying how it was my fault. He was moaning and we spoke a couple of times but then he deleted me. He was so annoyed saying how he didn’t want the press and I thought, ‘Are you having a laugh? You have different hookers on the go every other week when Raffaella’s not around’. He’s just a nutcase. All we did was kiss and exchange a text saying how we could go away together abroad and not have to worry about the press. He highlighted the fact that we could have sex in the street and no one would know it was us. It wasn’t phone sex at all. I was a bit offended and gutted but then I thought, ‘Fuck off’. After the argument on the phone, we never spoke again.”
the secret lover
Shortly after the pair ended, Holly began to get attention from other footballers, treating her and taking her out. She understands that players to try and get one over on rival team members – but there was one person who’d been trying for a number of months that grabbed her attention. The mystery star who plays for his country began tempting Holly and she gave in to his demands. “He would make me go to random locations in London and wear a dark wig as I was blonde at the time. When at the location, I would have to text a special number for one of his drivers who would drive past to make sure I was not followed by any photographers. I would then receive a text back from his driver to tell me the registration plate of the car once he was happy I wasn’t being tailed. People might think it sounds seedy, but I felt like I was in MI6 training school. His house was amazing! But for me, it’s not about money – I make my own.”
Now maybe we’re being at bit cynical here at loaded towers, but surely women are wise to the fact that they’re being used and abused by the footballers? So if it’s not money or status, what is it that makes Holly go back for more rather than just dating normal guys? “It’s the danger of getting caught and the mystery that nobody knows who you’re with. But a lot of other women like the fact that they can be offered a lifestyle they would never experience on their own. There are a group of women that are known to like footballers and their pins are just passed around between the players. I don’t care really, because I know there are a lot of girls who do the same – picking up men who are generous and known to be very easy to manipulate. I’ve seen them – just rich, dumb guys who women prey on. I know a few girls who kiss and tell but that’s just not me – I kiss and keep it to myself. This guy is a real gentleman but I’m far too wild to be his woman.”
Holly recently featured on a show called Sex, Lies & Rinsing Guys with other WAGS who like to prey on wealthy men. But she claims it was some dodgy editing that left her being one of the most despised women in the country. “The show failed to show the real me and my comic side – they made me look like a real cut-throat, hard-faced bitch and I’m really not. I take the piss out of myself. I get a lot of death threats now, but I just laugh them off. The threats I’ve had say I should be set on fire, that I need tying up and throwing in a boot, that I should have my throat cut, that I should be melted down into plastic or have acid thrown in my face and they hope social services take my kids away, all that kind off thing. People are thick and the truth is, they are just sat at home tugging it to my pictures, the saddos.”
we’re the same, you and me
She may “laugh off” death threats and appear in trashy fly-on-the-wall telly, but Holly is determined to prove to the public that she’s just like everybody else. “For the past five years I’ve been studying Forensic Psychology so I’ve been going to Liverpool University. I have two sides to me – I love the industry, but I’m intelligent and want to feed that. I’m not going to do this forever and I want to make the kids proud. I’m not a thick slag and I can prove that to people, which makes my dad proud, too.
“I want to move into more TV stuff as I’m moving out of the age bracket [for modelling]. We’re pitching for a TV show at the moment, speaking to producers and filming our own pilot for the pitch. It’s about the struggle of trying to become famous, the ups and downs and how you can be portrayed in the media despite how similar you are to other people. I’m struggling to get work, doing a degree and being a parent, and I want to show people that it’s not like it is on TOWIE. A lot of times, I’ll go to an appearance and the next day I’ll be rough as a bear’s ass! Still, I swear men from Liverpool at the moment are like they are from the ’80s. They love a bit of bush! I haven’t been on many dates but I like Tequila o’clock. My dad was rather annoyed with the Balotelli story but said at least it wasn’t a Man U player – he would have killed me! But I’m just a normal person – I like going to the gym and spa and I enjoy chilling in my house. I’m also a massive Liverpool fan.” Holly also added a new entry to her list of hobbies recently. “I kidnapped a Z-lister!” she laughs. “I was driving home after leaving a club and a certain former Big Brothercontestant was being sick out of the car window, all in the car and all down the side. I just turned the music up and sung Nicki Minaj. When I got home I left him in the bathroom and went to bed. It was embarrassing, he didn’t even offer to valet my car or give me any petrol money! The sick was in the goddamn car, there was a sicklet hanging from the roof – vile.”
So, apparently there’s hope for all of us if a desperate Big Brother star can get his way back to Holly’s house, – even if he couldn’t hold his own head up.
